Combining Brow Lift and Other Facial Plastic Surgeries for a Youthful Look

Plastic Surgeon Cleveland, OH

What Causes Signs of Aging?

Many areas of your face and neck can show signs of aging; some may appear earlier than others.

Your skin tissues lose collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid with age. The production of these youthful substances slows down after your 20s, causing lines and wrinkles in the forehead and loose, sagging skin.

Facial fat deposits shrink and sink lower in the face, causing volume loss and fat accumulation in the bottom of the eyelids, cheeks and jawline (jowling).

Our board-certified plastic surgeon can help you combat these cosmetic concerns with a brow lift combined with either a Forehead Lift, Eye Lift, or our own signature Foglietti Natural Vector® Facelift .

Why Combine Your Brow Lift with a Forehead Lift?

The brow and forehead lift can eliminate an angry or tired appearance by removing loose skin tissue that causes the brows to droop, creating a hooded appearance over the upper eyelids. Horizontal forehead lines and vertical creases between the brows (11s) are smoothed as the sagging brows are elevated. However, a brow and forehead lift focuses only on the upper face.

Volume loss and wrinkling in the mid-face and lower face can contribute to an aged appearance that gives the impression that you’re older than your chronological age.

Many of our Ohio patients go a step further and combine their brow and forehead lift with blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) or the Foglietti Natural Vector® Facelift for total facial rejuvenation!

Brow Lift with Blepharoplasty

The eyelid lift is often performed simultaneously with a brow and forehead lift. The delicate, thin skin of the upper and lower eyelids can be a factor in premature aging in the eye area, with drooping upper eyelids and puffy under-eye bags.

The eyelid muscles weaken, making it difficult to open the eyelids fully and creating a tired look. Blepharoplasty focuses on restoring eyelid integrity by removing excess skin and fat deposits and tightening the underlying structures.

The procedure can address puffiness under the lower eyelids, wrinkled eyelid skin, drooping skin that hangs over the upper eyelashes or impacts vision, fatty tissue in the lids and sagging skin.

Combining blepharoplasty with brow and forehead lift can give you a well-rested appearance that significantly reduces or eliminates lines and wrinkles in these areas.

Brow Lift with Foglietti Natural Vector® Facelift

A brow and forehead lift may be combined with a facelift for complete facial rejuvenation and comprehensive results. This is a popular choice because facelift focuses on the lower two-thirds of the face.

The cheeks, chin and neck regions are improved with a facelift, and a brow and forehead lift creates an overall youthful appearance. Dr. Mark A. Foglietti developed a unique surgical technique for this procedure. The Foglietti Natural Vector® Facelift technique refines the facial tissues gently and precisely for long-lasting improvement.

Dr. Foglietti uses a SMAS approach, lifting the skin to access underlying tissues and sculpting the area for a smooth, youthful profile. Excess skin is removed and the remaining tissues and structures are tightened in multiple directions (vector) for a natural look that doesn’t look “too tight.” He also sculpts the neck for better jawline definition.

Patients who undergo the Foglietti Natural Vector® Facelift don’t look “done” but have a natural enhancement that provides subtle yet dramatic results.
