What Happens During Treatment?

Juvederm can be administered in our office in as little as 15 minutes. No anesthetic is needed as the product contains lidocaine, a numbing agent. Using a thin, sterile needle, small amounts of the Juvederm product of your choice will be injected into the deep layers of the skin around the mouth. The treated areas may be gently massaged.
There is no downtime with Juvederm products, meaning you can resume all activities and return to work immediately after your treatment. Minor side effects include swelling, bruising, tenderness and discomfort at the injection site(s). These effects are temporary and should resolve after a few days of treatment.
