Autoimmune Hepatitis Stem Cell Research in Cleveland

Auto-immune hepatitis is an inflammatory auto-immune disease of the liver. It often occurs with other auto-immune conditions such as scleroderma, lupus, Crohn’s, and Graves thyroid disease. Patients experience fatigue, loss of appetite, itching, and abdominal distension. Treatment with corticosteroids is the standard of care, but the hepatitis may cause cirrhosis (scarring) and eventually lead to liver failure. A new study from Germany indicates that it is important to establish the diagnosis before cirrhosis develops. Auto-Immune Hepatitis and Cell Surgical Network

CELL SURGICAL NETWORK has developed a specific SVF deployment protocol for hepatitis that attempts to utilize the potential immune-modulatory, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties of SVF (rich in mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors). SVF is deployed systemically and may require repeat dosing. This is done as an outpatient at the time of SVF harvesting and procurement. The entire cellular surgical procedure takes approximately three hours.
